PTH 2523 - Introduction to Physical Therapy

Introduces students to the multifaceted role of the physical therapy profession. Topics include the diversity and growth of healthcare and physical therapy, methodologies used in physical therapy education, and the concept of the health care team. Introduction to medical terminology will also be made, teaching the student to form medical terms, and define medical terms used in medical documents to be able to read and write these documents.
