Biological, cultural, psychological, and sociological changes with aging are discussed. Emphasis is placed upon societal attitudes, support systems, and demographics regarding the geriatric population. Systematic and comprehensive problem solving approach to the geriatric client with emphasis on prevention, etiology, clinical manifestations, and the application of the patient/client management model.
Prerequisite(s): PTH 6255, PTH 7283, and PTH 7315.
