Students completing the leveling courses, the Educational Specialist degree, and all DESE required assessments will receive endorsement as a K-12 building-level administrator.

Persons wishing to pursue the Educational Specialist degree at Southwest Baptist University should complete the process of admission to the graduate program as a classified degree-seeking student prior to the completion of 9 credit hours at SBU.

Specialization Requirements (32 Credits)

The student working toward the Education Specialist in Educational Administration degree will have the coursework for K-12 administration prior to this degree. The Specialist in Education degree will include the following courses:

Students who possess a master’s degree without K-12 administration certification courses and wish to pursue an Education Specialist in Educational Administration degree must complete the following leveling courses:
