The course presents major issues of schooling and education basic to professional preparation and an introduction to the teacher education program at Southwest Baptist University. Areas included are governance, finance, legal and ethical aspects of teaching, societal issues, cultural diversity, preparation for working with English language learners, curriculum and instructional planning, and current topics in the field.
